Why we need you
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accountant to manage financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting in accordance with the relevant accounting standards. This role will also encompass transfer pricing responsibilities and legal entity optimization, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations and efficient corporate structuring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
What you’ll bring
- A background in audit, ideally from a Big 4 or second-tier audit firm.
- Strong expertise in technical accounting, with a solid understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance.
- 4-5+ years of experience in accounting or audit - making this a great next step in your career.
- Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent); experience in a commercial environment is also welcome.
- Ability to navigate complex financial structures and apply technical accounting knowledge effectively in a business setting.
Your first-year achievements
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts, resolve discrepancies, and prepare financial statements in line with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
- Audit & Closing Processes: Support the month-end and year-end closing, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Finalize the 2024 audit by Q3’24 across all Lepaya entities.
- Transfer Pricing & Tax Compliance: Oversee and implement transfer pricing policies across the group, ensuring compliance with evolving legal entity structures and tax regulations.
- Entity Optimization & Compliance: Analyze entity structures for tax efficiency, collaborate with tax advisors, and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Drive standardization and automation of financial processes, particularly around month-end closure, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Audit Support: Work closely with external and internal auditors to facilitate smooth financial reviews and audits.
